Hi everyone, it’s Cheryl with you today.
As you probably already know, I adore the Elegance Collection, and have found it to be very versatile. Today I have another simple card that I will use as a get well card for a friend who had a fall.
This entire card uses a card base, one 6.5×6.5 sheet of double-sided design paper (CO728830), plus one piece of ephemera and a small amount of white cardstock for the die cutting. I used a scrap for the latter. As you can see, minimal supplies.
Here are the quick and easy instructions. First, I cut the topper to fit my card base, then glued it down. Using the leftover from that piece of design paper, I flipped that over to the reverse side and cut it to fit across the topper as shown.
Next I cut two die cuts using the Beautiful DL Borders die set. I glued one to each edge of the piece that would go across the card, then added the whole thing to the card. Next I added a piece of ephemera, which I put up on foam tape. I then wanted to add my greeting using a small scrap left over from the design paper I’d cut for this card, but it blended into the background too much.
To remedy this, I found a scrap of white cardstock. I cut a small piece of that and added it to the bottom of the greeting. Although small, it was enough to separate the designs.
Last of all, I added some matching adhesive pearls.
This is a very easy card to make, and could be adapted to just about any use.
