I recently said I wanted to join in more cardmaking challenges, and today I made two new cards to add to another challenge on The Outlawz site. This site is all about challenges, and although it’s not as big a community as Stamp TV, I’m really enjoying the site.
I’m one of those people who needs to be constantly challenged, and constantly learning and/or busy. The Outlawz site is one I’m sure I’ll be visiting often.
The first card (shown above) mostly uses the Spellbinders Parisian Accents dies. The white ‘matting’ and border, plus the black dies are all from this set. If you’ve watched videos from Christina (of Card Making Magic), you will have seen Christina show us how some of the various dies in this set can be linked together. That’s exactly what I’ve done with this card. Plus I’ve layered two sets of the black together.
The larger flower was made using Spellbinders Blossoms One, and the greenery uses Spellbinders Foliage.
This next card again uses the Blossoms One die, but as for the leaves, I think they’re also from the Spellbinders Foliage die set. The border is Spellbinders Edgeabilities Classic Bracket, and the die the greeting is stamped onto is from the Spellbinders Parisian Accents set.
I’ve added a Kaisercraft Pearl brad into the centre of the flower – just to make it a little bit different. I know it doesn’t look it from this photo, but all the elements in the light pink were cut from the same sheet of cardstock. I think it’s just the light making them look different. Apologies.
My Spellbinders Parisian Motifs set still hasn’t arrived, which is a bit frustrating since it was ordered before the Parisian Accents set!
