It seems like forever since I posted, and I apologise. The blog was hacked and it took forever to get it fixed. I’ve also been doing extensive rehabilitation since my knee replacement, which was back in June.
I still have to do hydrotherapy at my local gym for at least another month, but I don’t have to go to the rehab hospital like before. (With the trip there and back, and the two hours of rehab, I was losing three hours twice a week! So glad that’s over!)
I’m also back working on my next novella, but that’s an ongoing project with a new novella approximately every two months.
Now that things have settled down, I can get back on track with this blog.
It was my sister’s 65th Birthday earlier this month, and I wanted to do something a little more special for her. She’s long been a lover of anything purple, so I found some dsp in my stash.
I started with a white cardbase and attached the dsp, leaving a small margin around the edge.
Using the same white cardstock, I foiled the “Happy Birthday” Hotfoil Stamp from Ultimate Crafts using Phantom Purple foil from ArtDeco Creations.
After using the “Sweeping Flourish” Cut, Foil & Emboss die on white cardstock with irridescent foil, I added it to the card beside the greeting, which I’d cut out, then also added the section you peel away, for added affect. (Look at that gorgeous colour!)
Lastly I added a beautiful silver bow, and lovely purple flower from my stash. Oh, and of course, the number 65 using dies from my stash.
It looks complicated, but honestly, it wasn’t.
Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
Your card is so gorgeous and well designed. And, fabulous colors too. I am sure your sister was so thrilled to receive it.

Thanks so much Verna. She said it was the only “65” card she’d received. But she did love it.
