This weeks the JUGS challenge is a photo inspiration. When I saw the image I immediately thought of wooden fences and flowers, hence my card.

The background is all made using Distress Inks, and for the bottom part (which was done with Forest Moss), I also used water splatters. I was trying to make it look like a grassy hill. The fence is a Magnolia stamp, and the cat is a die.

I used pencils to colour the fence, flowers, and greenery around the fence. A first for me. The Happy Birthday die is from Spellbinders.

I am entering this card in the Just Us Girls Photo Inspiration challenge, as well as the Addicted to Stamps and More 4th Birthday Challenge.

Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!

  1. Thanks so much, Christine! I love sponged backgrounds – you can achieve so much with them!

  2. Thanks Verna. I’ve been trying to do some cards out of my comfort zone, and this is certainly one of them.
