Make a Wish Card

Hi everyone, it’s Cheryl with you today.

I’m sharing an elegant card that took little time to make. The card uses the gorgeous Elegance Collection, and I made it using scraps sitting on my craft table. Even the gold strip was a leftover. All I did was cut the length to fit.

I took two pieces of design paper, and cut them down lengthwise to fit my card base. I decided the most colourful piece would go down first, and added that. Then I grabbed a strip of gold glitter card that was leftover from another project, and glued that down. Lastly, I used the more sedate piece of design paper. This was to contrast the busyness of the first piece.

With that done, I decided to make this a birthday card. Once I’d stamped my greeting, I realised I didn’t have a banner small enough for this greeting, and ‘doctored’ a bracket die I’ve had for quite some time. It is really just a matter of moving the die up and down to suit what you need. I added the greeting with foam tape and my card was done.
