Hi everyone, it’s Cheryl with you today and I’m sharing another quick and easy card I created using the stunning new Lavender Love Collection. This card is simple to make, takes under ten minutes to create, but has an elegance about it.

 

Often when using ephemera, we look at what supplies we have available with a closed mind. Today I wanted to show you that doesn’t have to be the case.

 

For this card, I took two pieces of ephemera from the Lavender Love Collection – a jug, and a bunch of flowers – and joined them together to make one die cut. It took years for me to realise we are simply dealing with paper when we craft. If we make a mistake, it’s not the end of the world.

 

For this ‘technique’ you can use ephemera from the same collection, or you might have ephemera from other collections that will work just as well. The point is to keep an open mind, and do what makes you happy.

I began with a white card base, then cut a topper from a matching cardstock, with the textured side showing. I found some pretty matching ribbon in my stash, and attached that to the topper, then glued onto the card base.

 

As mentioned above, I took two pieces of ephemera and glued them together, then I added foam tape to the back of both (which was now one) to provide some height. I felt the card needed something more, and glued down the circle ephemera to the topper, then added the jug and flowers onto that.

 

Lastly I added the “moments” that is also from the Lavender Love Ephemera pack. Because of the length, I used wet glue in the centre, and added foam tape to each end to keep the height even.

By changing the greeting, this card could be used for many different occasions. The Ephemera pack (which is included in the 12×12 collection pack, or available separately) has several greetings included.

If you would like to dress it up a little more, try adding matching adhesive pearls, or Liquid Drops 3D Pearls.
