How to Make a Pocket Card

Hello everyone. It’s Cheryl here, and today I’m going to show you how to make a simple pocket card like the one below.

Begin as you normally would with a regular card size and add your design series paper to it, leaving a small border around it.

Next, take a matching piece of cardstock to the one you used for your card base. I’m using an A2 sized card, and this is the size cardstock I used for my pocket:

10cm wide x 6.5cm deep

Now take a matching or contrast piece ofdesign series paper and cut it slightly smaller all the way around, again leaving a border.

Line up your dsp and cardstock so they are even at the top, but the design series paper needs to be centred either side. (See the image below.)

Make a small mark on the right-hand side on the design series paper approximately 2.5cm down. You are going to cut from the top left-hand corner down to that small mark on the right. Once you’ve done that, slide the design series paper down so there’s a border all the way around. (See below.)

Glue the design series paper to the cardstock base, then glue that to your card front on three sides only, leaving the top open. Don’t overdo it with the glue or it will be difficult to add anything into the pocket.

Lastly I added some Ephemera as an embellishment, then added a tag.
