Because Shery Russ of STAMPlorations has recently given birth, there is only one challenge running at the moment. You have to use red or have a love theme.
Since I’m in the midst of making birthday cards at the moment, (in between Mother’s Day cards) I took some time out today to make the above card.
It was pretty simple – I used a base and topper of SU Pink Pirouette, cutting the topper slightly smaller than the base. I ran that through my die cutter using a Kaisercraft embossing folder.
I made a circle ‘frame’ to put on the front, then stamped and die cut several pieces from the Beautiful You stamp set from Altenew. I stamped them firstly in SU Real Red, then over-stamped with gold ink. I had to redo the flowers using Versamark and gold embossing powder, as the ink didn’t show very well with the dark background
After adhering everything in place, I stamped “You are Special” from STAMPlorations Pocket Blooms in cardstock matching the circle. I hand cut around the greeting, and popped it in next to the flowers using foam tape, and that was it. (I originally stamped it gold, but it was barely visible.)
I am entering this in the above mentioned challenge – STAMPlorations Paint it Red Challenge.
