Distress Oxide Inks – Stencil Use

I have really taken to the Distress Oxide Inks, and have been playing with them again.

I used four different colours and blended them onto watercolour paper. They are: Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Cracked Pistachio, and Worn Lipstick.

There was no plan to my blending, I just added the colours here and there, and blended them together. I then took my Hero Arts feather stencil, sprayed it with water, then laid it over the blended inks. I let it sit for about a minute after gently pushing paper towel onto it to ensure the water soaked in.

I added a greeting (from Gina K Designs) onto vellum, then blended the same colours onto another piece of watercolour paper. After that I then stamped with the feather image (from Hot Off the Press), and die cut with the matching die.

Last of all I added some sequins and a bow.

I am entering this card in the Just Us Girls Ink Blending Challenge, and the Double D Pastel Party challenge.
