Masculine Birthday

I found this challenge site recently, but I’m sure it’s been around for ages. There is an inspirational image, but since it’s someone’s card, and I’m not certain I’m allowed to post it, I won’t. But you can see it here at the Time Out challenge site.

The images are from a Hampton Art set. I took two separate images from the same set, and joined them by drawing in strings from the plane to the banner.

The images were coloured using watercolours. (The woman’s face and hand look reflective here, but they’re okay in real life.) The card is for a 70th Birthday, so I added die-cut numbers to the banner.

I felt this card was a bit empty, so added some clouds in the background. I did that by painting in cloud outlines, spraying them with water, then dabbing with a tissue to remove most of the colour. If you enlarge the photo (by clicking on it) you will be able to see the clouds much better.

Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
