Special Folds Card

I really like cards that are different, like cards with special folds. Usually I find them either extremely difficult, or very tedious to make.

A friend of mine had a totally different fold sitting on her craft table when I visited recently. I was intrigued by it, but forgot to ask how she made it. It’s been niggling away, so today I went searching for some instructions on the internet.

I found quite a few videos, and since she’s my go-to lady, I chose to watch France Martin’s video. (Most of us know her as “Frenchie”.)

Here’s the card I made:

Perhaps I should say this wasn’t my first attempt – I messed it up, but did manage to resurrect it to something fairly usable. (I will save that one for another post!)

Anyway, here is Frenchie’s video. I hope you find it as easy to make as I did!

This year I’ve decided to get ahead with my Christmas cards, so I’m following the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown site. (I’ve been following for years, but never seem to make many cards!) I’m entering this card in their technique challenge, which is for special folds.

Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
