Inspired by Stamping are having an “Anything Goes” challenge, with the only stipulation being that you must use only IBS stamps. (Normally you can use any stamps.)
I’ve been itching to really get stuck into the Vintage Postcards set, but haven’t done much with it until today.
This was a relatively easy card to make.
I stamped the main “postcard” images in Jet Black Archival ink, then added the ‘express’ and ‘postage’ stamps in different colours. It will depend on what colour cardstock you use as to what colours you decide to use. I wanted them to be different to the main image – to make them look more authentic.
Next I stamped some images from the Summer Postcards Add On set, using Stazon Stone Gray for two of them, and lilac for the butterflies one. I lightly sponged each of the small images with Vintage Photo Distress Ink to give them an old look.
The ribbon I had in my stash. I made a double bow using my bow maker, then tucked it around the back of the cardtopper. I had intended using ivory ribbon, but found I didn’t have any, only white, which was too pale. So I opted for this beautiful rich colour.
After all that was done, I added the topper to my cardbase.
Last but not least, I added a small flower to the centre of the bow as I felt it needed something else.
That’s it. Done. And very easy!
